Megan McCracken Advocacy

I have spent my career advocating for gender balance in historically male-dominated industries and occupations.

I have shown through my work that gender balance is both possible and commercially savvy.

Demonstrated results:

  • In a transport company:
    • Increased the number of women in a transport organisation from under 10% to 24%.
    • Reduced the gender pay gap from 22% to 0.6% in four years.
    • Increased the number of female engineers from 0% to over 20%.
  • NAWO board: Achieved 40/60 ratio of male to female board members.

I am the past Chair of the National Association of Women in Operations (NAWO); I deliver the mentoring induction for Women in Mining WA’s (WIMWA) flagship mentoring program and am a mentor with several formal programs supporting women to progress their careers.

In 2021, I won the Industry Advocate category of the National Women in Industry Awards in Melbourne.
